When Fender's Player Series first hit the scene, its combination of rock-solid tonewoods and stellar electronics made for an infinitely giggable axe priced for the working musician. The Fender Player Plus Stratocaster builds on this blueprint with upgraded electronics and optimizations throughout to deliver even more incredible bang for your buck. A trio of noiseless Player Plus single-coil pickups pumps out hard-hitting tone with crystal clarity, made better with a push-pull Tone 2 knob to jack in the neck pickup when in positions 1 and 2. Rolled fingerboard edges give the Player Plus Strat a distinctly professional feel, a feature commonly found on instruments in higher price ranges. Throw in locking tuners and a highly expressive synchronized tremolo, and this top-notch 6-string truly puts the "Plus" in Player Plus Stratocaster.
The trademark tone of a Strat is heard across countless recordings and number-one hits, and for good reason — the spank, the twang, and the chime of its pickups lend crystal clarity and enhanced articulation to anything you play. Fender made sure to equip the Player Plus Strat with high-powered pickups to perfectly fit the bill, with three Player Plus single-coils delivering an expansive tonal range. These noiseless pickups thoroughly impressed Music Experience guitarists, pumping out that classic quack and richness of a vintage Strat without the pesky 60 cycle hum.
Whether it's your first or 50th Fender, the Player Plus Strat is familiar in the hands. You get the standard tonewood combo of alder with maple for the neck and fingerboard, laying a solid tonal foundation with plenty of snap and smooth playability. Where the Player Plus Strat truly shines is its impressive feature set. Its Modern "C" Player Plus neck profile boasts a rolled-edge fingerboard for a comfortable worn-in feel right out of the box. Locking tuners up top make for split-second string changes while keeping everything in tune, the perfect companion for this Strat's silky-smooth 2-point synchronized tremolo. The Player Plus Strat epitomizes love at first strum — make sure to clear your schedule for the next few days!
Players all over the world have loved the Stratocaster since its introduction in 1954. The Stratocaster has been played by the most influential guitar players from early players like Buddy Holly to high-gain virtuosos like Yngwie Malmsteen and blues masters like Eric Clapton, among others. By relying on sturdy building techniques and unmatched playability, it's little wonder why the Stratocaster is so popular today. The Player Plus Stratocaster builds on the well-loved classic design with contemporary features and the same great playability to inspire the upcoming generation of guitar players.
Fusing classic Fender® design with player-centric features and exciting new finishes, the Player Plus Stratocaster® delivers superb playability and unmistakable style. At the heart of this Strat® is a trio of Player Plus Noiseless™ pickups – bright and touch sensitive, they offer classic Strat tone without hum. A push-pull pot on the tone control adds the neck pickup to switch positions 1 and 2 for two sounds not usually found on a Strat®. The silky satin Modern “C” Player Plus Strat® neck fits your hand like a glove, with smooth rolled edges for supreme comfort. The 12” radius fingerboard and 22 medium jumbo frets facilitate fluid leads and choke free bends. Smooth and responsive, the 2-point tremolo provides classic vibrato effects, while the locking tuners provide rock-solid tuning and make string changes quick and easy. With classic Fender style, advanced features and stunning new finishes, the Player Plus Stratocaster is the perfect tool to spark your creativity and stand out from the crowd.
With brilliant highs, balanced mids and smooth lows, these pickups are clear and responsive with great string to string note balance. They have all the Strat shimmer and quack – without the noise.
The Modern C neck profile is one of Fender’s most popular neck shapes. A nice intermediate thickness in between thick and thin, it is fast and comfortable and suits all styles of playing. A satin finish provides a luxurious feel that makes playing as smooth as skating on ice.
This instrument features a flatter fingerboard radius which facilitates bending notes without fretting out. In addition, the edges of the board are rolled to smooth out the corners, providing a much more comfortable playing experience.
This Stratocaster features a two-point tremolo bridge with 6 steel block saddles for superior intonation, sustain, tuning stability, tremolo action and ease of adjustment.
The push-pull tone control activates the neck pickup in switch positions one and two, adding two unique pickup configurations not normally found on a Strat.
A high-performance feature, locking tuning machines offer increased tuning stability while making string changes fast and easy.
