Fender's offset designs have been charming guitarists and fans alike for over half a century, but the needs of modern players have progressed — that's where the Fender Vintera '60s Jazzmaster Modified solidbody electric guitar comes in. Featuring a modern neck profile and fretboard radius, this Jazzmaster offers the thinner, sleeker feel that newer players have come to expect. A pair of Vintage-style '60s Hot Jazzmaster single-coil pickups deliver increased output compared to vintage originals, to give you greater ability to drive your amplifier. Complete with the classic floating tremolo combined with an Adjusto-matic bridge — which many players prefer over the vintage-style bridge — the Fender Vintera '60s Jazzmaster Modified offers everything a forward-thinking guitarist could ask for.
Many guitarists at Music Experience hold classic Jazzmaster pickups in high regard, for their wide-ranging tonality and sonic balance. Vintage models are decidedly low output, however. For modern players, the Vintera '60s Jazzmaster Modified features Vintage-style '60s Hot Jazzmaster single-coil pickups with hotter output than original designs. You'll be able to push your amplifier or pedal chain into overdrive, with plenty of room to back off for cleaner tones.
Fans of vintage Fenders often enjoy fatter necks and reduced fretboard radii, but the last few decades have seen many players preferring a thinner neck and flatter radius. The Vintera '60s Jazzmaster Modified rewards these players with its Modern "C" neck profile and 9.5" radius, a nice balance between the vintage originals and modern speed machines. The feel is sleek and fluid, yet retains the solid feel players expect from a Jazzmaster.
The Vintera Series offers Fender’s most popular models in a myriad of shapes and sizes. These instruments are ideal for players who dig vintage-style Fenders, but feel that American Original and Custom Shop guitars are out of their reach. Vintera Series instruments are available in both Vintage and Modified configurations: Vintage models span the ’50s to the ’70s, with period-correct specifications for each era, while Modified models look like vintage instruments but include modern updates that contemporary guitarists will appreciate. All Vintera Series guitars and basses boast Tim Shaw–designed pickups and are available in a wide array of vintage-inspired colors. The guitarists here at Music Experience have found the Vintera Series to be the perfect introduction to Fender’s iconic lineup of legendary instruments.
For players who appreciate the mojo of the past matched to contemporary features, we created the Vintera ‘60s Jazzmaster Modified. Blending classic looks with a modern neck profile and fingerboard radius, hotter pickups and updated electronics—this guitar packs a surprising amount of power under the hood. For modern Fender tone we re-voiced the pair of single-coil Jazzmaster pickups, kicking things up a bit by increasing the output. The warm, smooth-sounding neck pickup is balanced by the bright, cutting bridge pickup. The “Modern C”-shaped neck has a 9.5”-radius maple fingerboard with 21 medium-jumbo frets for modern playing feel. An Adjusto-matic™ bridge is paired to Jazzmaster floating tremolo and vintage-style tuning machines provide original-era aesthetics, rock-solid performance and tuning stability. Other features include the classic lead/rhythm circuit, chrome hardware and 4-bolt neck plate. Includes a deluxe gig bag.
A classic Fender tone wood, alder’s sound is balanced with equal doses of lows, mids and highs.
The “Modern C”-shaped profile is designed for comfort and performance. The smooth satin back finish makes it play even faster.
We redesigned this guitar’s pickups. They’re packed with the bell-like, articulate tone that made Fender famous—only hotter.
Comfortable for chording and single-note playing alike, the 9.5”-radius fingerboard offers modern feel thanks to its medium-jumbo frets, while also making wide bends easier in the upper registers.
The Adjusto-matic bridge offers stable saddles and better intonation, while moving the tremolo closer to the bridge provides a better break angle and reduces ringing.
This circuit makes it easy to dial-in a preset rhythm or lead sound and switch between the two on the fly—great for live performances.
