Last night The Foo Fighters had their South African Debut at the Cape Town Stadium and what a night it was. Dave Grohl is undoubtedly one of the best front men to have graced South African Stages in a long time. He is fun, energetic and just a nice guy who we all wish we were friends with. Having seen them 5 years ago in Manchester, England, I had some idea of what to expect and when asked who has seen them before I was one of few who had experienced the rock loyalty that is The Foo Fighters. But everybody knew what they were in for when Dave famously said "It's going to be a loooong F@#king night." Playing basically every song you expected and a few from their new album "Sonic Highways'" they really had the crowd moshing, headbanging and singing along. With the new album they did something very special, going to different cities all over America and recording a song in each city which then became "Sonic Highways." Pretty cool I'll say, and they made a documentary out of it too. Admittedly I haven't bought the new album yet, but i'll definitely be getting it soon.

They will be playing Johannesburg 13 December and if anybody had any doubts whether they should go or not, take my word for it, get your tickets now. You wont be disappointed.

PS Also spotted on Stage was a few Duesenberg Guitars which we stock exclusively in South Africa :)
